V'Shinantam Teacher Guide
Available in either Hebrew or English

Teacher's Manual for Year Three of V'Shinantam. The Manual has three sections:
1. Study of mishnayot in tractate sequence: Makkot, Chapters 1-3
2. Selected misnayot on the festivals
3. Skills lessons on parallel sources of the Tannaim and their importance: Tosefta, Beraitot and Midreshei HaHalachah, comparison of each to the Mishnah and to each other. Study of these sources is the first preparatory step toward the study of Talmud.

The Manual recommends to the teacher how to teach each lesson, including lesson trigger, body of the lesson and lesson summary, and suggested time division for each lesson. The Manual also contains all student activities from the Student Activity Book, with all answers, and ideas for additional activities for the student.

"V'Shinantam" Student Activity Book
Available in either Regular Hebrew,
Easy Hebrew or English

The Student Activity Book is written in an interesting and enjoyable manner, and is designed attractively in full color. The activities in the Student Book are designed for enrichment of the student in Mishnah study, after he learns the mishnah orally from the disk. Activities include summary and review of the contents of misnayot, additional thought questions for internalization of values and main concepts, games, puzzles and other activities. Students receive guidance for ue of the Activity Book for independent or group work as part of the lesson, or as homework.

"V'Shinantam" Disk, Year Three

Available according to either Ashkenazic
or Yemenite (Baladi) Tradition

Mishnayot was edited and intended for oral learning. The chanting of the mishnayot on the disk is either according to the Ashkenazic of Yemenite (Baladi) tradition. The disk includes all of Tractate Makkot, the famous "V'Shinantam" theme song for study of Mishnah. and three new beautiful songs about Mishnah study.

In addition to the Teacher's Manual and Student Activity Book, the "V'Shinantam" Mishnah Program provides additional enrichment of the classroom experience with a special teaching kit, including posters for Year Three, games and activities for the heterogeneous classroom environment.

The posters for Year Three of "V'Shinantam" help the student become familiar with the parallel sources of the Tannaim:

Poster of Talmud page:
Designed to help the student understand the Talmud page, and to recognize beraitot in the text.

Torat HaTannaim Poster:
Large, colorful poster designed as a table for study of parallel sources of the Tannaim. In the course of the appropriate lesson, various sources are posted on the table, and the comparison of the various sources is clarified.
